Using Drosophila, mice, human immortalized cell lines, and human iPSC-derived neurons as models, we seek to understand the cell biology of neurological diseases. We focus on the role of stress granules, mitochondria, and other organelles in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, frontotemporal dementia, and some inherited neurodevelopmental disorders.
